Флексить — что это значит и что такое флекс
Здравствуйте, уважаемые читатели. Помните, как в 2000-х годах родители и учителя недоумевали от фраз «рубиться в Контру», «ржунимагу», «аффтар, выпей яду»?
Спустя два десятка лет молодежный сленг сильно изменился, и сейчас подростки 2000-х испытывают неловкое чувство, когда общаются с нынешними тинейджерами.
Уверен, вы слегка округлите глаза, услышав новомодное слово «флекс». Давайте разберемся, что оно значит и в каких случаях используется.
Флексить — что это?
Слово «флексить» пришло к нам из английского языка. Образовано оно от слова «flexible», которое в переводе означает «гибкий». Впоследствии в английском языке появился глагол «to flex», обозначающий «сгибать, шевелить, изгибать».
Изначально это слово использовалось подростками во время разговоров о клубных развлечениях, так как на дискотеках и концертах принято ритмично двигаться и изгибаться под музыку или бит.
При помощи такого выражения, как «Покажи, как ты флексишь», можно попросить друга продемонстрировать его танцевальные навыки, а если вы хотите пригласить приятеля на концерт любимого рэп-исполнителя, скажите ему «Пойдем вместе пофлексим».
Это слово используется рэперами и часто его можно встретить в репертуаре Ice Cube и Ghetto Boys.
Выражение «делаем флекс» также может означать «качаемся под ритм музыки на концерте рэп-исполнителя». Часто рэперы не прочь задрать футболку и поиграть мускулами на публике, хвастаясь совершенным торсом (флексят).
Но не спешите радоваться, ведь вы пока еще не до конца знаете, что значит флексить. Позже у этого слова появились и другие обозначения.
Сегодня флексить – это то же самое, что и хвастаться, выпендриваться и «понтоваться».
Объяснение простое: отправляясь в клубы, подростки рассчитывают не только потанцевать, но и произвести впечатление на других при помощи модной одежды, аксессуаров. Демонстрация своего превосходства в материальном плане также сюда входит.
Флексом обозначают обыкновенное хвастовство, когда тинейджер рассказывает истории (иногда неправдивые), чтобы произвести впечатление на сверстников, попытаться показаться лучше, чем он есть на самом деле.
Под этим «термином» могут выступать амбициозные планы на будущее и цели — в общем, любое действие, подразумевающее собой выпендреж.
В некоторых кругах флексить — значит, смеяться с друзьями, «угорать» над конкретным человеком или ситуацией.
Например, вы услышите фразу «Вот это ты флексишь!», когда рассказываете смешную историю из жизни. В этом контексте сленговое слово используется редко, однако для общего развития знать и об этом его значении не будет лишним.

Что такое низкий флекс
Вроде бы разобрались, что такое флекс. Но и это еще не все. Пытаясь говорить на одном языке с подростками и демонстрируя, насколько хорошо вам удалось познать молодежный сленг, вы можете столкнуться с очередной трудностью: в кругах тинеджеров также популярно выражение «низкий флекс». И у него тоже есть несколько значений.
Первое из них — это плохо выглядеть, недостаточно стильно, не выигрышно на фоне своих друзей и знакомых. Если слово адресовано конкретному человеку, это значит, что он небогат, одет немногим лучше бездомного, не производит должного впечатления на окружающих.
Низкий флекс — это также танцевальный элемент у рэперов, представляющее собой кружение у пола. И хотя это сложное движение, выполнить которое под силу будет не каждому, в переносном смысле термин приобретает резко негативный оттенок.
Теперь вы знаете, что такое флексить и можете продемонстрировать полученные знания в разговоре с молодым поколением или сверстниками, если вы сами являетесь подростком.
